Incredibly ‘arty’ but I could not stop watching this, its visually great.
I love this. It’s like a really slow practical joke.

This makes me really want a kitty-cat.
“For the entirety of the 135 minute runtime, the film rarely lets up, throwing one ridiculous situation after another at its audience, paying no mind to what makes sense and what doesn’t. You’re not allowed to question why the hero, Phoenix Wright, is allowed to question a bird in the middle of a trial. If you don’t think that’s realistic, this really isn’t the movie for you.”

The latest Attitude magazine (the one with Daniel Radcliffe in a massive jumper) has an interesting special report about homophobic bullying in schools.
There are a few shocking bits, but the one that really got to me was this from Suran Dickson. She volunteers for “Diversity Role Models”, a group that gives talks in secondary schools.
I think I thought it had got better. But when you start going into schools you realise how huge the problem is. It is immense. To give you an example of the kind of feeling out there, when I begin in a class I always ask, “Who here would abandon their friend if they were lesbian, gay or transgender?” And most of them hold up their hands. When I tell them I’m a lesbian, lots of them will pick up their chairs and move away.
Like, what the fuck?
Pop to Tesco now and get yourself a copy, it’s a good read.
The men admitted distributing the flyers but claimed they were not “threatening” and denied they were designed to cause trouble for homosexuals.
One leaflet, entitled ‘Death Penalty?’, had an image of a mannequin hanging by the neck from a noose printed on it.

So I guess Capcom’s seen sense and narrowed its target audience down to “that one guy with the Phoenix Wright tattoo”. What a week!
Ace Attorney 5 and Ace Attorney 123HD got announced, and the movie’s getting a worldwide release (complete with dubs I probably won’t watch!). And now Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi’s horribly underrated DS puzzler, has got a worldwide release on the App Store!
The first two chapters are free, so go and download it now, OK? OK.
Capcom, if you can just sort out an English release of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 I’m willing to forget this whole mess and be friends again.
“You can tell that we’re a fanbase that’s been kicked around when we get this excited over a logo.”

Well, today turned out to be a pretty exciting one in the “Japanese lawyer-based visual novels finally getting sequels” world. Ace Attorney 5 is now officially a thing!
Ace Attorney 123HD is less exciting, but still quite exciting and it might push me over the edge into iPad-buying territory if it gets localised.
(…Holy crap, this actually got me blogging.)
